Profile: She is a Canadian musician, mostly known as the lead guitarist for American hard rock band "Nashville Pussy" and the wife of guitarist Blaine Cartwright (former "Nine Pound Hammer").

History: She started to learn guitar ever since she heard her favorite 70's rock bands, such as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, to name a few, and wanted to be a professional musician one day, touring the world with her music. She also claims that the reason she plays guitar is because of Courtney Love (Hole), not as an idol, but the opposite reasons.

In 1996, Suys and Cartwright (husband) formed a new band called "Nashville Pussy" after the breakup of "Nine Pound Hammer", where her husband played as a guitarist. With "Nashville Pussy", Cartwright would take up vocal duties while Suys plays lead guitar.

The band has remained largely underground, however gaining a large cult following in Europe, Australia and Japan. The band has a modest fanbase. Grassroots promotion of the band has been aided by their taper-friendly show recording policy.

'ELLE' magazine voted Ruyter Suys as 'One of the Greatest Female Electric Guitarists'.

On 25th March 2010, "Nashville Pussy" will embark on the 'Parental Advisory Tour' with "Green Jelly" and the cult comedy metal band "Psychostick".
